The North Indian Bamboo Flute for Indian and Western Music
The Indian Bansuri is a fully mature instrument, but so far it got mainly recognized in the Indian Music only. Nevertheless, it is absolutely possible to use it for Jazz or any other kind of music as well. I am offering classes to set your foundation to get ready to go in whatever direction you want to go later on. The very basics about controlling the instrument, get some ear training, work on timing etc are generally the same things to do for all styles.
But then there are major differences as well. For instance intonation in Indian Music is supposed to be quite different from the equal temperament tuning system that needs to be used in Jazz Music, and the whole world of Harmony and Chord Progressions as such is not present in the Indian Music.

Group Classes Online
There will be an online group class for beginners very soon. For that you need a medium size flute (Ab Hindustani, Eb Major scale).
